The project at 1001 N. Shoreline began in 2014 as a land assembly. Calvano Development recognized the importance of the nexus of Highway 101 and N. Shoreline Blvd. as an exclusive address and one of the most coveted submarkets in Silicon Valley. This area is home to many large corporate users and boasts giants such as Microsoft, LinkedIn, Intuit, and Google.

The 7.8-acre land assembly comprised ten parcels from eight different ownerships, necessitating a complex acquisition process requiring separate negotiations with each entity. Calvano Development has extensive experience with such complicated assemblies that involve working with sellers, tenants, and other stakeholders.

Upon approval, the building was fully leased to a single technology tenant.  Construction began in early 2016 and is scheduled for delivery in spring of 2017.

Plans are now being processed for The Residences at Gateway for 202 apartments and 100 condominiums.

The Residences at Shoreline Gateway

The Residences at Shoreline Gateway is Phase II of the 7.86-acre mixed-use development site located at 1001 N. Shoreline Boulevard in Mountain View. Phase II proposes the development of 203 rental apartments and 100 for-sale condominiums. Given its location adjacent to public transportation on Shoreline Boulevard and Highway 101, The Residences at Shoreline Gateway will meet the City’s transit-oriented housing needs. In addition, the project will provide much needed housing near the North Bayshore employment area.

The apartment building offers 203 one- and two-bedroom units totaling approximately 177,502 net rentable square feet. The building has amenity spaces and a roof deck at the top level. The project’s architecture takes its cues from 20th-century modern industrial design to make a harmonious transition from the office to the residential units along the N. Shoreline Boulevard frontage. 

The condominium building, located at the south east corner of the site offers 100 one, two, and three-bedroom units totaling approximately 99,310 net sellable square feet.  The exterior material is a combination of accent tiles, sidings, and stucco. The building also has amenity spaces and a roof deck at the top level.
